What I claim is:
1. A safety razor of the folding type comprising a thick razor blade having a cutting edge, a blade holder having said razor blade pivotally mounted thereon, an elastic fork pivotally supporting said blade holder, an elastic stirrup comprising branches pivotally supporting said elastic fork and a blade guard slidably mounted on the branches of said elastic stirrup adjacent said cutting edge of said razor blade when the razor is folded.
2. A safety razor of the folding type comprising a thick razor blade having a cutting edge, a blade holder having said razor blade pivotally mounted thereon, an elastic fork pivotally supporting said blade holder, an elastic stirrup comprising branches pivotally supporting said elastic fork, a blade guard slidably mounted on the branches of said elastic stirrup adjacent said cutting edge of said razor blade when the razor is folded, fastening means for slidably mounting said blade guard consisting of a rivet having a shank integral with a branch of said elastic stirrup and a slot at the end of said blade guard slidably engaging the shank of said rivet.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand at Paris this eleventh day of February 1928.
