Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is—
1. In a razor, a handle, a longitudinally-extending slot therein adjacent to the place of occupation of the heel of the blade in the open position of the latter, a sliding bolt, the latter freely occupying said slot and extending transversely therethrough and being adapted to be moved across the back of the heel of said blade to control the same and toward one end of said slot to clear said heel.
2. In a razor, a blade, a handle, a longitudinally-extending slot in said handle, a transversely-extending bolt freely occupying said slot and adapted to be slid longitudinally over the back of the heel of the blade to control the same against closing during the operation of sharpening, and a tightening device on said bolt.
3. In a razor, a blade, a handle, a longitudinally-extending slot in said handle, a transversely-extending bolt freely occupying said slot and adapted to be slid longitudinally over the back of the heel of the blade to control the same against closing during the sharpening operation and to be moved to one end of said slot to clear said heel.
4. In a razor, a blade, a handle having an elongated slot, a bolt occupying said slot and adapted to slide therein in the longitudinal direction of the handle, and means for tightening said bolt in adjusted position.
5. In a razor, a blade, a handle having a slot therein, a sliding bolt in said slot adapted to engage the back of the heel of said blade and control the same against closing and a tightening-nut on said bolt.
6. In a razor, a blade, a handle having a longitudinally-extending slot therein and a sliding bolt movable in said slot and adapted to engage with the heel of said blade, said slot having in its wall a recess adapted to receive the body of said bolt.
